Genestealer Chaos Cults in Epic/E41K
This E41K army list is derived from the Genestealer army list in "Warhammer 40,000 Compilation" ["The Yellow Book"]. Genestealer cults are an odd mix of the Tyranid, Imperial Guard and Chaos army lists. As such some of the point values are NOT the same as they are in the basic army list. This is most strongly shown in the cost of demons in this army list. The point values for demons are based on the point value given for them in the Compilation's army list.
A Genestealer cult is a genestealer infestation that has turned to Chaos for additional power. It's objective is to take over a world, not act as the "leading edge" of a Tyranid hive fleet invasion. It is a great enemy force for the Sisters of Battle (AKA "Nuns with Guns"), Adeptus Arbiters. and Hive Gangs
Genestealers are , at their core, of course Tyranid, at least in the current version of WH40K, in the RT era, from which this is based, they were a separate race from the Hive Fleets. As such the basic rules for a Genestealer cult are based on the E40K Tyranid army list rules. You use the Tyranid detachment sheet to generate a Genestealer Cult, with some modifications. You must take a "Coven" as the 3 Synapse creatures and you must take at least one "Pure Strain Genestealer brood". The standard E40K rules for leadership test for Tyranid are in effect, for all members of this army (i.e. as long as one member of the coven is alive, all members of the detachment auto-pass leadership tests.)
Notes: Only broods with guns may have Heavy Weapons You may take a support unit as part of this brood.
Broods:
You may take up to 10 of the following broods. Note that some broods have a maximune number that may be taken per detachment.
Support:
For each Cult Brothers you take you may take 1 support unit. These count as part of the Cult brother's brood for placement on the Detachment sheet.
